Objectives of the aquaculture activity
The main objectives of the commercial fishing activities are:
- Incubation and reproduction of aquaculture objects;
- Growing aquaculture commodities;
- Release of young fish grown by the method of incubation and artificial breeding to the nature in order to restore aquatic bio resources populations in natural ecosystems; some of the young fish are intended for keeping at the enterprise, and some for release into the Kura River by the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) organization in cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan aimed at recovery of the bio resources of the Caspian Sea.
- Realization of commercial fishery products in domestic and foreign markets;
- Economic and biotechnological substantiation of aquaculture activities;
- Organization of production in accordance with the biotechnological substantiation and the provision of local people with work places;
- Cultivation of commercial sturgeon, herring and other fish species;
- Artificial reproduction and release to the nature of sturgeon, herring and other species of fish for the purpose of breeding;
- Ensuring compliance of the production process with environmental standards and socio-economic requirements.
